Dadhich

It is a matter of ancient times, at one time many teams of evil people were born in the country. These parties used to harass peace loving citizens without any reason, looting, killing students, their teachers, scholars and thinkers. Their torture and terror was increasing day by day. These were called Kalakeya. They were very cruel and cruel. They used to kill someone laughing. His head was Vritrasura demon.

Followers of Vritrasura were opposed to Kalakeya education. He considered Vidya as his main enemy. He was the first to target teachers, scholars, ascetics. They believed that teachers and ascetics were a hindrance to our dominion. Therefore, we must first focus our attention on destroying them.

One day many teams of Kalakeya attacked the gods under the leadership of Vritrasura. He believed that the gods promote learning and reading. The gods fought them fiercely, but the gods could not stand in the face of a tremendous attack by the Kalakeya demons. They had to run away. Deviated from this defeat, the deity went to Brahmaji for help.

Brahma said to him, "Vritrasura is very powerful and invincible. He cannot be killed with simple weapons. To kill him you must build a weapon of power. Such amogha astra can only be made from the bones of a sage. There is a benevolent character named Dadhich, Satyanshit Maharishi. He is very kind and righteous. You tell them that Vritrasura has made it difficult for common people to live. Vrittrasur and his evil assistant Kalakeya, destroying the place of worship of the people, demolishing the ashrams of the sages who impart knowledge, killing the sages and their disciples. They have spread terror everywhere. Due to fear of the Kalakeya demons, the farmers are leaving farming and traders are covering their businesses and going to safe places. "

You go to Dadhich and beg him to give his bones to alleviate the grief of the general public. Dadhich's ashram was in a very picturesque place on the banks of a river in the foothills of the hill. There were huge forests on one side of the ashram and lush green fields extending to miles on the other side. Dadhich used to engage with his disciples in his ashram in worship, study and teaching of religious texts. There was a very peaceful environment around his ashram. A variety of animals roamed around the ashram. On the advice of Brahmaji, the delegation of the gods went to Dadhich and explained to him in detail the crisis arising out of the atrocities of Vritrasura and his assistants and the remedies to overcome it.

Upon hearing the gods saying that Vritrasura and his helpers were persecuting innocent people, Dadhich became very sad. He said, "I will be happy to give up my life to alleviate people's suffering." I myself give up my body. "Saying this, he gave up his life. The gods took the bones of Maharishi Dadhich according to the advice of Brahmaji.

After this, they took Dadhich's bones to Devashilpi Prajapati. He requested Prajapati to build a Vajra to kill Vritrasura as advised by Brahma. Prajapati happily accepted this task. He created a fierce destroyer Vajra with full attention.

After the creation of the Vajra, the gods took it to their king Indra. Indra attacked Vritrasura with a huge army. There was fierce war on both sides. Rivers of blood began to flow in the war zone and he was flooded by the Narmunds. The defenders of Vritrasura put life to death to stop Indra, but they could not prevent Indra from reaching near Vritrasura. Indra approached near Vritrasura and struck Vajra at him. As soon as the thunderbolt struck, Vritrasura fell to the ground like a cut tree. After this, Indra and his soldiers also finished the rest of the time. Dadhich, an ascetic, scholar and thinker, died with joy in the interest of education and protected it.
