When change is sustained for a long time it becomes a culture.
How exhausting and boring it is to get stuck in this vicious cycle of change that we make a change and then change it again to give a new change….
A few days ago, a law was passed in Chennai prohibiting smoking in public places. But who cared? You will find people smoking everywhere. In Singapore, too, two decades ago, a law was passed to prohibit the dumping of garbage here and there, and now everyone is following it there. Why? What's the difference? Law enforcement was not monitored in Chennai, while it was monitored in Singapore.
When change is sustained for a long time it becomes a culture. The challenge is not just to change, but to change that change in culture.
The system of prohibition of smoking in public places as well as the competent system to monitor its implementation and officers and employees were not installed. Therefore, this law remained written only in books. But the waste law was strictly enforced in Singapore. Thus the change became permanent and today it has become the culture of Singapore. A good training program, a good book, a spiritual discussion or a New Year Resolution - these kinds of external catalysts definitely inspire us to change. The only drawback with these changes is that if they are not monitored, they soon die. Making changes and then allowing it to disintegrate makes us psychologically incapable - be it a government, an institution or an organization.
What is the difference between great people and other people in the world? When great individuals accept a change, they behave and monitor it accordingly, and do so until that change becomes their culture. On the contrary, other people of the world make a temporary change, but in the absence of keeping an eye on it, just to let it go missing. After this people start waiting for another change, like New Year or any other motivational event, and try to make the same changes that they have tried before and failed.
If change is monitored and maintained until that change becomes your culture, then your life starts moving towards upliftment, otherwise this change, lose it, change it again and then lose The giver remains as a vicious circle.
If we have to come back to the same place, then why start now?
Seeing others respectfully is a positive quality, but when this increases to the form of surrender or submission, then it becomes a weakness. Be respectful without cloaking subjection. You can be better than your boss. What is possible for one person, it is possible for everyone. Everyone can do what a person can, but better than that. You are not born to be a hanger. Remember, you were the foremost sperm. You were not a hanger even in sperm form. You were born to be a leader. Continue on the same legacy.
Overall, it is clear that it is life to live with self-respect, recognize this important principle of life and make life meaningful. Whenever there are leadership opportunities in life, or rather develop the ability to lead at every opportunity. This is the real progress.
Thanks a lot !
