Find the Name

Playing in the ear, playing in the soul,

the mind catches the rhythm and enjoys it all.

It's a short dose, which gives a pause,

to the hectic life, we lead all the time.

It walks with us, it sleeps with us,

we don't even know it breathe with us.

Maybe it's a gift of god,

but it is vested in the humans,

who produce it with their throat.

Its not of rich, it's not of poor,

It's our companion in any tour.

It's about happiness, it's about sadness,

It's about love, it's about care,

It's about romance, it makes us dance.

It catches beat, catches rhythm,

catches the soul of the creator.

It sometimes liked, sometimes disliked,

but this does not reduce the value of its light.

It hits in the party, hits in the ball,

It does not leave us if we fall.

It opens career for many,

who through it, earns a huge penny.

It's rock, it's pop, it's jazz, it's hip-hop.

It does not leave us alone,

In loneliness, it's our sweet home.

We hear it once, we hear it twice,

the number increases as we like.

It's a natural remedy for every injury,

It heals the soul,

makes us a better human after all.

Now can you guess the name,

which in my poem I frame?

तू कहाँ था

A deeply emotional Hindi poem about betrayal, abandonment, and hypocrisy. The poet questions the absence of someone close during moments of pain, struggle, and humiliation, while others mocked wounds, blamed the sufferer, and took advantage of vulnerability. The repeated phrase “Where were you?” intensifies the feeling of heartbreak and disappointment.
