पर तुने इस प्रेम की सौगात भी क्या खूब दी हैं,

इसे अपने लिए... तेरी माँगी कोई दुँआ समझू या समझू कोई सितम, पर जो भी दिया तुने ऐ जिंदगी ....

कभी खूब पसंद था हमें ये तौफा-ऐ-गम....

...भ्रम! हाँ यही तो वो लगता है सबको। पर सच क्या है ये सिर्फ़ मुझे पता है। मुझे पता है कि उसका इस दुनिया में होना उतना ही सच है जितना ये सच है कि रोज़ सूरज रोज़ निकलता और डूबता है...पर उसका सूरज सदियों से अपने शिखर पर है, कभी डूबा ही नहीं।
