WHAT IS LOVE?

I wanted to write a poem on love,

But it was harder than cooking on a stove

I began to search on Google for inspiration,

But it led only to irritation and frustration.

Love is a feeling from the heart,

But nobody ever understands this simple part

Love believes in addition and multiplication,

But we complicate it with lame justifications.

Love thy neighbour, love thy friend

But never expect any gains from their end

Love your children, love your spouse

But never get angry when they don’t help you to clean the house

Love your parents, love your in-laws,

But never get hurt when they wound you with their words and claws.

Love your garden, love your art

But never forget to love your own heart

Love your chocolates, love your food

But never forget how to be good

All of us celebrate love on Valentine’s Day

But never forget to cherish love in your own special way.
