When I was a child, it was a routine to visit our grandparents during the summer holidays. We stayed in the city for a minimum of 15-20 days. There was a large mango orchid in the village just a kilometre away from our house. In the orchid, many people who live in village have their mango trees.
We went at noon and played in the shade of the trees.
One day I was joking with one of my cousins and he got very angry. He ran after me to beat me and I simply ran and ran. After running for about 15 minutes, I stopped and looked back.
I wasn't anywhere, I looked back and I didn't see mango trees. There were only distant and dry fields with no villages, no trees, no people in sight. It should be noted that the mango trees are huge and can be seen from a great distance while I ran for about. 15 minutes I thought I ran in a straight line, so if I came back on that line, I would have returned to that place.
After walking for about 30 minutes, I saw a monastery-like structure located between the fields.
It looked like something.
I found it strange why a temple would be built in this place while there were no people / cities in sight. But I also felt that I could find someone there to tell me the instructions to go home. Because of the torrid summers and so many physical exercises, I was also thirsty. There was a visible hand pump for me. Therefore, I went to that place and started drinking water from the hand pump.
At that moment, I saw a man with a yellow dhoti (kind of clothes) walking towards me. I noticed his disability in one leg, he could walk very slowly. He had a mark on his forehead. To shorten the long history, I found the temple priest. He just pinged me and asked me "kaun ho babua?"
I told him my name and kept myself busy drinking water.
For the moment, I looked back to ask how to get there. It cannot be found anywhere. Being paralyzed, he could not only run and disappear. I was afraid.
I started running away from that place without realizing the instructions. I was crying and acting duas. Courses and courses.
After running for I don't know for how long, I saw a similar type of structure again but not in that ruined condition. I didn't have the courage to enter but then I saw a few people sitting under a peepal tree. I went there, scared and asked them to go home. They asked for my grandfather's name. Being a small city, everyone knew everyone and told me the way home. When I left the other part, it was all a family show. My house was near. I knew where I was and how to go home.
At night, I told my grandfather the whole incident. He said to me that, There was a time when mango orchids have a monastery cared for by a paralyzed priest. The monastery had a very expensive lord statue. One day thieves murdered and vandalized the priest and also taken the statue with them. Now, there is no monastery in this place. There are mango trees in that place.
It was too surprising for me. I couldn't understand all this. I asked my grandfather to come with me once and find that place. Only for me, he agreed with this. We searched for that place at noon for 1-2 hours at a time, but we never found it.
Some points: -
1. No matter how long I have walked or in which direction, there has never been a place where mango trees were not visible.
2. I could not understand but I drank water from a place that did not exist.
3. Was it the priest who led me home?
I've never been able to find the answers to these questions and I don't think I can ever find the answers. This is the greatest mystery or a scariest act to me till date.
