MOCKING FRIENDSHIP!!

A Monk once said- "Friends are like those enemies who are to be kept closer.You know they'll fight with you to the death.But when someone tries to take you down they'll fight for you till the death"..

A Friendship is a ship which sails ocean of hurdles, seas of hardship, yet comes out strong in any storm of this dreadful life.

Cheers to such friends, who are counted in every blessing and are remembered in every shit-hole that life digs for us at every occasions.

A profound wisdom which never fails to amaze you, and grows with every panting breathe- "Friendship"

One such friendship was that of Elizabeth and Alexandra !!

It accounts to those days of 1940s, when having a penny in your pocket made you feel like a billionaire.These two girls were of different kind, they had their differences of being rich and poor, also of the life-style they couldn't share.

Elizabeth looked mesmerized by Alexandra's life, and Alexandra adored Elizabeth's simplicity.

They were unaware of the fact that life is going to cross them over and give them the taste of the other side of the fence.

It was during late summer, when suddenly Alexandra had to leave the town for her further studies.

It was a heart-break, that Alexandra couldn't take off easily. It would make her a bitter woman in the days to come.

Elizabeth on the other hand, was busy ploughing her father's field, not aware what destiny had in store for her.

She turned her hardship into smart-work and soon gained popularity as a young lady who could turn soil of agricultural lands into golden goose .

Years passed by, and soon the treacherous town became the wealthiest city of Agriculture era.

Elizabeth wasn't the same, she was now a renowned Ambassador of the city, and owned every filed, which yield gold in terms of crop harvesting.

She was now happily married and had a beautiful daughter who was young and enthusiastic like her mother.

One day there was a woman standing in the courtyard of her bunglow. She was wearing a hat, and a chained pocket clock, which she was holding in her hand along with a suitcase.

"Time flies my friend" -she said, when she saw Elizabeth climbing down the stairs to greet her.

"Who are you Madame?,and what's your business here?"-

Oh! ,"The wealth has indeed blinded you my friend!, I remember you as a girl in her stitched boots, climbing the tree like a monkey, just to get that morning sunshine on the horizon of this city."

Pardon me Madame!, but I do not recall you. Are you here to meet someone?..

The woman in the hat, kept her suitcase down and started tapping her feet with a childish rhythm.

This brought tears in Elizabeth's eyes.. "Alexandraaaaa my love!!"

I never thought I would see you again. They hugged like a long lost friends that they were .

She took her inside the house and gave her some hot cup of flavoured tea, which would help her with the severing cold.

Alexandra told her all about her past, how she lost all her business, cause of the tactic that the business school couldn't teach her. It made her bitter, and she lost her family in due course of time.

Elizabeth said she's more then welcome to spend the rest of her life in this town.

Next morning they found themselves climbing the tree branches as they use to do when they were just little girls.

That morning sunshine looked even more beautiful. It felt more warm and cozy on the tree top.

It was a day which shared its happiness of uniting two lost friends. It seemed like the sun was "Mocking their Friendship"

And the rest of the story lasted with their growing friendship with time, and ended with their tombstones next to each other.

Something engraved on the gravestone caught my attention.

"Mocking Friendship" it said...
