The purple frock that I wore last night was a gift from my Uncle.

It was my birthday!!.. A day I always look forward to. A day where I was supposed to celebrate myself. A day where I didn't had to cringe for being born as a girl..

My mom made sure of that!!..

The idea behind was to make people believe that I was being raised as a precious possession that would be handed over to some overly rich man,who would than decide my every move, my every breath!!

I stood there like a doll, who was placed in the party as a centre of attraction..

I smiled and greeted every soul, and every once in a while was reminded to smile wider!!..

Uncle Umesh in particular, complimented me very often while taking a stroll to the bar counter ,still holding his almost full whiskey glass!!

Every time he sipped the whiskey,he made a sound which was hard for me to ignore.

Not because I was standing next to the counter,or it was a quiet place that even a pin drop could be heard..

The reason was very obvious, and had made my conscious self a bit more alert than usual..

There was just one man among the crowd, who was ogling my every move like a cheapsters on the street!!

He finally made his move while I was walking towards the loo..

He slammed the door shut and wiped the whiskey from his lips..

I reminded him that's it's my washroom and he's not supposed to be here..

I tried to escape from the space between the doorway, but he clenched his fist and pushed me to the ground!!..

My 5yr old brain could not contemplate his reaction.

For me he was a man well respected in the family. For me he was more generous than my dad.

He had bought me a purple frock for my birthday and told me that I would look like a princess!!

I obliged to his generosity and wore the same dress,so why is he acting like a monster now??..

Did I do something wrong??..

Does he know that I bunked my english class yesterday to avoid the punishment for not completing my homework..

Is he going to tell my dad??..

Meanwhile he drew his hands on my face and removed my hairband to let my hair loose..

I was too scared to react, but than I remember the incident which nany had told me last week..

How she had punched a man on the street who had called her Deceitful bitch!!

I asked her what's "Deceitful"??.. to which she had responded- every woman who's born on this mother earth get's deceived by a man by one way or the other. And for a woman to survive the life that she's been given, she needs to be deceitful.

But is it a bad thing to be a "deceitful bitch" ??- I asked her.

She laughed and said- Depends on who's saying it,and whether it makes you strong or weak.. And remember, whenever you get a chance to choose between these two.. Always choose to be STRONG!!!

AND IF THAT MAKES YOU A DECEITFUL BITCH, than so be it!!- She winked

I kicked him on his face, before he tried to rip me off my purple princess frock, I hit his face with a force of a WOMAN that I wanted to be known as one day!!!..

He seemed shocked, and lied on the floor with blood oozing out of his whiskey soaked lips..

I bend down to take my hairband and slowly whispered in his ears-- I'M A DECEITFUL BITCH
