Night Jasmine
In quietness of dark when the world sleeps in silence
A little bud blooms, spreading its fragrance
With dawn’s first ray, appears in the eastern sky
The night Jasmine bids a fonding goodbye
Drifting, falling, scattering on the ground
Like studded stars painting a beauty profound
The pretty fragile flower with a lifespan so short
Embracing the journey blooming alone in murk
Leaving the glory, in its brief existence
That life’s worth is measured ‘in use, not by the length’.
