I visited Dubai and Abu Dhabi, last year. I will journal most of my experiences going forward. First is “The Louvre”.

When compared Dubai, Abu Dhabi is a little dull.

Or should I say “less-crowded”?.

Abu Dhabi is a peaceful place, the drive to Abu Dhabi from Dubai, was also pleasant and fun. And a stopover at “Last-Exit” (Street food-truck park) is a must.

The Louvre was my Soul-filling place. The art was my soul’s food for that day.

I got a welcome drink at the entrance, which was Arabic coffee or Qahwa.

There was Art displayed from various parts for the globe. Art from different Periods of time. It was a good 4 hours of tour.

The stones, the arti-facts, the ruins, the coins, the clothes, the paintings, everything took me directly to the time it was made.

One can simply end up spending even an entire day in The louvre, if you read all the museum labels displayed.

There was a live Dance performance by artists in traditional Arabic attire. They also played instruments and danced to the tune of it. It was like trance and I was literally lost in some other era.

Thats the the beauty of art and music. You are present, but not ‘present’.

When in Abu Dhabi, do not, at any cost, miss visiting The Louvre. It’s worth your time and the ticket is inexpensive too.
