The unexpected twist: I was walking home from work late one night when I saw a sign for a haunted house. I had never been to a haunted house before, so I decided to check it out. The haunted house was located in an old abandoned building. The windows were all boarded up, and the door was covered in graffiti. I took a deep breath and opened the door. I stepped inside, and the door slammed shut behind me. I was in a dark hallway. I could hear strange noises coming from all around me. I started to feel scared. I walked down the hallway, and I came to a room. The door to the room was open, and I could see a figure standing in the middle of the room. The figure was tall and thin, and it was wearing a white sheet. I was too scared to move. I just stood there, staring at the figure. The figure stared back at me. After a few minutes, the figure started to walk towards me. I turned and ran out of the room. I ran down the hallway and out the door. I ran as fast as I could, and I didn't stop until I was safe at home. I was so shaken up by what I had seen that I didn't sleep well that night. The next day, I told my friends about what had happened. They didn't believe me. They said that I was just imagining things. But I knew what I had seen. The ghost of the haunted house was real. Or so I thought. A few weeks later, I was walking home from work again when I saw the sign for the haunted house. I decided to go back and see if I could find the ghost again. I went inside the haunted house, and I walked down the hallway to the room where I had seen the figure. The door to the room was still open, and the room was empty. I was confused. I had seen the ghost here before. Where had it gone? I turned around and started to walk out of the room. As I was walking, I heard a noise behind me. I turned around, and I saw the ghost standing in the doorway. The ghost was still wearing the white sheet, but its face was different. The face was smiling. The ghost smiled at me, and then it disappeared. I stood there for a moment, trying to understand what had just happened. Then I realized that the ghost wasn't scary at all. It was actually kind of funny. I laughed, and then I walked out of the haunted house. I never saw the ghost again, but I'll never forget the funny ghost of the haunted house. The surprising twist: The ghost was actually a friendly ghost, and it was just trying to make me laugh.
