Be a true well wisher

They say that they wish me well,

Their actions but do not this tell

An absence of empathy cannot ever mean well,

A heart that lacks empathy is like an empty well

That actions speak better than words, is what they all tell,

So, words not followed by a concomittant action, simply empty promises foretell

If you are a well wisher, let your actions speak for you,

Encourage, motivate and always by them stand true

If you wish someone well, be the rock on which they can steadfastly lean in their times tough,

Be the anchor of their life's ship when their troubles rise like a sea that is rough

Be the well wisher that gives respite like does the first rain to parched Earth,

Radiate your love and warmth , like on a cold freezing day does a warmth hearth

Let your words be like a soothing balm on a festering sore,

Words that cool and calm their every paining pore

Be a well wisher, be God's own Angel,

Teach them courage and the importance of a strong will

A strong will that will help them defeat their worst fears,

Enable them to become a beacon of hope and cheer, to become someone else's true well wisher..
