Magical Spring

Spring is all around in the air

The days are just rightly pleasant and fair

Spring flowers dance in the cool spring breeze

Their heads held happy and high, free from the winter's cruel freeze

A sweet lazying fragrance permeates the air

It's as if a thousand roses grow here, there and everywhere

The bumble bees buzz in and out of flower beds

Their sheer joy everywhere is spread

The honey bees have turned busybees

Flitting for nectar from bushes to trees

Slowly a frozen chrysalis metamorphoses into a diaphanous butterfly,

And the daffodils break the frozen earth holding their cheerful heads high.
