Multimedia is the media that uses multiple forms of information content snd information processing to inform entertain the user. Multimedia also means to use the electronic media to store and experience multimedia content. Multimedia is similar to traditional mixed media in fine arts, but with a broader scope.

Application of multimedia

Business all the record are stored in computer, information are transferred across the divisions through computer advertising which is very important part of business. It completely dependent on multimedia and computers.

Education world also faced a revolution after, introducing of multimedia online education computer based education and digital books are the various application of multimedia in education field.

Public Service multimedia is widely used in different types of public service like banks shopping General information is as etc almost all banks are giving facility of Internet back banking ATM which are based on multimedia application online shopping and digital display in supermarkets are usage of multimedia in shopping.

Entertainment multimedia has a deep impact on entertainment industry combination of moving image of real life scenes with sound and special effects in movies and combination of different input devices with lot of Computer Graphics in games are the few examples of multimedia entertainment.

Telecommunication telephone and mobile industry has developed very fast using multimedia now we can hear a clear digital voice in our phone and mobile there are lot of service introduce like sms mms MP3 ringtones colour display etc.
