The Missing Diamond

It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Oakville. Detective John was called to the scene of a break-in at the local jewelry store. The owner reported that a rare and valuable diamond was missing from the store's display case.

Detective John immediately started his investigation. He examined the broken window and the shattered display case. He questioned the employees and the owner of the store, but no one had seen or heard anything suspicious.

As the detective continued his investigation, strange things started to happen. Every night, he would hear strange noises and footsteps outside his hotel room. He would see shadows moving in the dark, but whenever he turned on the light, there was no one there.

One night, Detective John decided to follow the footsteps. He found himself in the old, abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town. The mansion had a reputation for being haunted, and many people in the town avoided it.
