The OBSESSION

Falling in love sometimes can be a blessing and sometimes a curse. Its like a rain and its upto us whether we decide to drench in it or stay away. But no matter what we do , if its in fate , it is bound to happen! Just like Aswin and Rahul's love story. Was it a curse or a blessing?.....

Like every other day Aswin was on her way to home from university when she suddenly bumped into someone. She was about to yell when she noticed those bright hazel eyes which were staring at her with guilt and those pretty lips about to apologize. She stopped him and smiled at him. "How can someone yell at such a pretty guy? Who was he?" All these words were chasing her mind when suddenly she heard ..."Rahul" . Such a pretty name. After sometime they had a great conversation and ended up exchanging each others number. Aswin never thought that she will find someone who will rule her mind every moment she's awake. She realised day by day that the more they were getting close, the more she was falling for him. But she never knew about his feelings. One day both Rahul and Aswin went on a trip to a sea beach. As they went near the shore Aswin could feel the cool breeze running through her body making her soul more peaceful and yet she was overjoyed with Rahul's presence beside her. Rahul broke the silence by suggesting to play Truth or Dare. She instantly agreed and decided to tease him by daring him to kiss her. Rahul instantly rejected and this broke her heart. Then he said ..."If it hadn't been you, I would have kissed someone ,but its not about you but its just that I dont want to ruin my first kiss to the person I love ,with a play . I want it to be serious "...saying this he kissed her. Aswin felt like she will collapse but at the same time she found herself flying among the clouds and her heart were beating so loudly just like the roaring waves. She became confused as well as happy. After this Rahul proposed to her and she accepted it. That day became a memorable day for them and they decided to make it official about their relationship. Days passed and their bond became stronger and happier. Aswin felt the luckiest to have Rahul in her life and wanted to marry him after getting a job as they have already graduated. After some weeks both of them found their dream jobs and decided to marry and settle. As for Rahul it became convenient as his parents were very much supportive about their relationship, but Aswin's parents were against it as they wanted her to marry a brahmin whereas Rahul wasn't one. They were strictly against it and warned her but she grew witty and one day decided to elope with him. Their plan succeeded and within few weeks they got married. Though she bidded on her parents absence but Rahul made sure to present her the most lovely family and to become a perfect husband. They were living a happy life when suddenly a ray of curse fell on them. Aswin became extremely possessive of Rahul and became crazy about him. She was so desperate that she didn't even allowed him to leave for work or even talk to his parents! She always locked him up with her and yelled at his parents if they somehow came to calm her. His parents grew worried and even decided to consult a psychiatrist but all went in vain. Things had took a wrong turn and their perfect relation started fading. Rahul at times lost his temper on her and used to throw and break things. This became an everyday routine. One day as usual they were fighting and unlike other days it started becoming worse. His parents decided to stop when suddenly they heard a scream. They hurriedly rushed to their room and was taken aback to see such a horrible scene. Aswin was holding a knife in her hand which was filled with blood and Rahul was lying on the floor....dead! This shocked his mother and she fainted. His father somehow managed to take her upto her room and his uttermost trust on Aswin made him to ask her..."Why did you do this?" Aswin replied that she was bound to do this as the only responsible one was Rahul!

She continued... From the day she fell in love with him she was unaware of the fact that the actual obsessed one wasn't her but instead it was Rahul himself! From the very beginning he was head over heels for her. As from his childhood he had a policy that if someone becomes close to him then until the day they die...they have to be his only. He heard this from him after their marriage that once he had a friend who left him for his madness and possessiveness. From that day he didn't made any friends and Aswin became his one and only. At first she used to neglect his little tantrums but day by day they grew worse. He started to control everything about her and created mental pressure for her. He even blackmailed her to leave her job. Once this possessiveness reached its peak when Rahul decided to inject drugs on her in order to make her do things according to his will and get the same amount of possessiveness from her which he wanted .But he ignored the fact that this was becoming more toxic and was deteriorating their health and mental stability . So while they were fighting Aswin lost all her control and decided to end his life because she already knew that she has lost her Rahul way before she knew and he wont come back. So Its better to end things rather than ruining it anymore. After listening to this his father decided to call the cops and firmly made the statement that he was suffering from mental disability which made him commit suicide and they witnessed it many times but somehow managed to stop him but this time it was too late . By that time his mother also knew about the truth and decided to declare the world that though they had lost their son but in return they got a daughter whose name was Aswi
