With a bottle around our necks
And a cute bag on our backs
We all started our first day at school
With tons of tears and "Don't let me go Mamma" stubbornness.
Sharing tiffins and craving the maggi cakes,
We knew the taste of every mother's love and who deliciously bakes.
It's not the zeel for learning that drived us then,
It was the love for friends more than
Those benches with carved flames
And blackboards with the dust of chalks.
It was the coziness of those dull classrooms
And the smell of phenyl mops and cleaning of big brooms.
It was the canteen that made us bunk our lectures,
And it was truly a feeling of pride to be titled as backbenchers.
Life in that building with multiple corridors was a world of it's own,
Holding various stories of fights and friendship, known by each student alone.
The bonds made there persists in hearts,
How beautifully we put efforts for each other and let nothing tear us in parts.
There's a lot more in that journey of years
But describing it as a whole isn't what I could do.
Every student made it's own tales and so did you my readers!
Well I don't have much words to say anymore,
but if you'd ask me- If I'm still lovin' and missin' it all?
"YES I do!" ~Aditi Goud
