The poem “Ab Baat Khatam” expresses the exhaustion of someone who has finally decided to stop trying to save a relationship. After saying everything that needed to be said and enduring everything that needed to be endured, the speaker reflects on the pain, misunderstandings, broken trust, and self-blame they have carried. They also remind the other person that their own journey was not free of struggles or thorns. The poem ends with a firm, emotional decision: the speaker has stayed as long as they could, but now it is time to let go. It captures the quiet pain of reaching one's limit and choosing closure over further suffering.
